Mike and Fred (?) from Toll came by to look over out water issues. Nothing as major as some of the rest of you, but well over a year since we bought the house so we were worried we'd get the run around. Whether it was Terry's honey or Ronda's persistence, I can onyl guess, but their approach was friendly, cooperative and professional. Now, we'll just have to see if they follow through but first impressions were positive.

Sometimes I think we all complain so much because many of us know we overpaid and that grates on us. Nonetheless, it would be easy to give this community and Toll-built houses a bad name. IMO, that benefits none if us. Fay and our water issues demonstrate how we can work together as a community to solve common problems. I'm not the "honey" type and I'm as fed up as anybody. But, it is time to move on, stop bickering, and work together on some of our issues. My two cents.

Thanks for passing on the information. Mike and Fred came to our house as well. Just curious to how many of you were told the leaks were due to hairline cracks near a window? Also, were others told that hairline cracks were up to each family to maintain on their own and NOT a responsibility of Toll, even if the house is still under warranty? Just Curious.

My leaking garage ceiling is caused by a gap between the roof tiles and the stucco.(Ravello model, upper front bedroom, under window in the front of the house). This is a construction defect and Toll will fix this as well as the damage in the garage from the water getting in.

There is a house on Emeldi that had this exact problem approx 6 mo ago. The problem was supposed to be fixed and their garage leaked again in the same spot during the tropical storm. FYI Do you think they fix it right the first time?

We have a Ravello model home on Lamanga. We also have water issues in our garage, on a corner wall with water draining on the garage floor. Can't tell if there is water on the ceiling.

We also have a leak/mold issue in our garage ceiling (Ravello model). Mike came out and explained the problem saying there is an issue with the flashing under the window between the stucco wall and the tile roof. We will remove the molding drywall in the garage, spray with bleach and wait for Toll to come and correct the issue. I am sure there are worse cases in the neighborhood and we can deal with this problem on our own for the time being and see how Toll handles it. Mike notified us that Toll has given him permission to contract out for more help and that he intend to do just that. We also had some screening come loose from our back deck enclosure, we called the installer, Helms Aluminum and they were out today to fix the problem.
