Please let me introduce myself and my firm. We are an executive search firm conducting a nationwide search for a Vice President of Engineering & Programs. This is a California-based position. I thought perhaps one of you might be a fit, or could steer me toward the right person at GE Medical.

A solid Operations Director or Program Manager (w/ engineering background) might fit the bill more than a technical lead.

Our client is a privately held electronic subsystems manufacturer that designs, sells and services TWT power amplifiers, control systems, and packaging and cooling solutions to systems integrators in the defense, aerospace and medical markets.

We have been retained to locate a good technical generalist with a background in analog power electronics: RF/Microwave/SMPS/High Voltage Applications; someone capable of working on complex development processes within diverse technical disciplines. Most importantly, this VP needs to be a “people person” with a good head for business.

Our client wants an experienced executive; someone with significant experience running multiple program teams and interfacing with customers. We need someone who is able to drive accountability and provide vision, motivation and leadership to a team. Two Directors and 35 engineers will report to the VP of Engineering/Programs. This individual will be a key member of the Executive team, reporting to the CEO.
