Is EBT dead? Maybe I'm a die-hard, but I don't think so. Why spend $200million just to close the doors? My theory is that the few remaining employees will help transition the technology to Wisconsin. The LightSpeed team will then adopt it and integrate it with their hardware/software as much as possible. What do you think? Or, what have you heard? |

Before we left, the service dept. had just sent out notice of end of life for many of the old scanners. I don't think there are enough people left to support e-speed. I'll bet they migrate the installed base over to lightspeed products, that way they can simplify the service arrangements. It is really too bad that they also killed the multi-slice project. Can you imagine 20x4 slices at 50ms? It woulda' been a killer scanner. We had all the experienced people in place to do it. |
