Introduction to the Main Console

You can easily access all of the features in Trend Micro PC-cillin Internet Security 2007 through the six buttons on the left side of the main console:

	Overview
	Along with a quick summary of your computer's security, you will also find two big buttons that can start a scan or download updates immediately.

	Virus & Spyware Controls
	These controls let you set your protection against viruses and spyware, the Suspicious Software Alarm System, and a scan scheduling system. From here you can also check the quarantine containing dangerous or infected files.

	Personal Network & Firewall Controls
	Use these controls to customize your Personal Firewall, monitor your personal wireless network, and protect other computers connected to your home network.

	Internet & Email Controls
	These controls let you modify the spam email and Web site filtering systems, a Data Theft Prevention system to protect credit card and bank account numbers, and defenses against phishing fraud.

	Other Settings
	Here you can specify how often you want to receive new updates, manage your subscription, set a password, and check your security logs.

	Help & Support
	Look here to find your PC-cillin version number, along with links to the PC-cillin Product Help system, the online Knowledge Base, and Virus Information, an online virus encyclopedia.
