We had 13 leaks in our home. Many people seem to have water coming through their garage ceiling including us. The large window in our house (Bergamo) has had service 13 times! Our ding room windows have had service 7 times. We have accomodiated toll bros for 16months. It is now time for them to take care of us! Toll just recently informed us that all Bergamos' have the same window issue, including the model.
We are curious to hear from other Bergamo owners.

Are the people from Toll Brothers helping you now? They ought to doing their utmost to help you!

Maybe it would help you if you understood how we got action from Toll Brothers when we encountered problems...

When we first signed our contract, we visited the new TB Design Center and we found out from the TB rep that that Toll Brothers was trying to cheat us out of items previously promised: lighting fixtures, quality rugs, certain size tile, granite backsplash....

We reacted to this in writing. We created a paper trail every step of the way. In conversation, we made it clear that we were willing to get a legal remedy (we mentioned that we have lawyers in the family)or that we would go to Consumer Report Magazine if we did not get satisfaction. When we got no satisfaction locally, we escalated the issue, always in writing, always delivered via Fed EX, so we would have a receipt. In the letter we sent to Toll Brothers, we included the printout of a web site which features how "(Toll Clients) cite broken promises". It appears that our stategy worked. Toll Brothers gave us the things we had been originally promised. What's more, we have had excellent service on warranty requests. We were extremely lucky in that we didn't experience any leaks yet.

Here is the website that helped make a difference:

We realize you have done your best to solve your TB problems and that your problems are much more immediate/more severe than ours were. Please do not misconstrue this post as being pedantic. We just want to help. We just thought that we might explain how we were able to get a resolution. We thought the website might be helpful.

If we can do anything to help you in any way, please don't hesitate to contact us. We would be happy to assist, so please don't hesitate to contact us.

Toll is fixing our issues. They forgot to caulk our windows when they painted our house. I think the only reason they are fixing the issues is because they have to due to some previous problems that we've had. They told us that we need to check our house every 2mo for settlement cracks. (Homeowner maintenance) Some people we know on the heritage side had major damage due to stucco cracks and Toll said they will not cover them and they have only lived in their house 4mo. ?? Anyways thanks for the info. Kim
