TerraRecon has a strong past connection to Imatron. We were going to do a joint project with them about 3 years ago. In the past, Imatron has used their monitors to display our images on. I met some of them at RSNA and was impressed with their systems. Andrew Jefferies is a good reference if you are looking at TerraRecon. |

Hey-- TeraRecon used to be a smallish japanese company building a dedicated box that would do simplified but real-time recons for us and others. It sorta worked and I believe they sold a few units, but mostly just gave us engineering money. Not at all certain about the details. Then, a couple of years ago, they suddenly had a huge workstation presence at RSNA with many many booth-rats. Don't know what happened to them. Horst Bruning (late of the Raven Project and good friends with Andrew) was either running the company or fairly high up in it. I don't think he is any more, but Andrew is probably a good source of info. --Erik |
