Hey--TeraRecon used to be a smallish japanese company building a dedicated box that would do simplified but real-time recons for us and others. It sorta worked and I believe they sold a few units, but mostly just gave us engineering money. Not at all certain about the details. Then, a couple of years ago, they suddenly had a huge workstation presence at RSNA with many many booth-rats. Don't know what happened to them. Horst Bruning (late of the Raven Project and good friends with Andrew) was either running the company or fairly high up in it. I don't think he is any more, but Andrew is probably a good source of info.
